ILGA World Conference in Cape Town — Largest in History
The 31st ILGA World Conference was held in Cape Town, South Africa, the first return to Africa in 25 years. With over 1,450 delegates from more than 100 countries, it was the largest in ILGA's history. Under the theme 'Kwa umoja we rise' (Swahili for rising through unity), delegates adopted a new Strategic Plan for 2025–2029, elected new co-Secretaries General (Kimberly Frost and Yuri Guaiana), and held the inaugural International Pride Awards. ILGA World now represents over 2,600 member organisations across 170 countries and territories.
