UNAIDS published '90-90-90: An Ambitious Treatment Target to Help End the AIDS Epidemic', setting goals that by 2020, 90% of people with HIV would know their status, 90% of those diagnosed would receive treatment, and 90% on treatment would achieve viral suppression. The targets, adopted by the UN General Assembly in 2016, have since been updated to 95-95-95 by 2030.
