Minorities Research Group Established

The Minorities Research Group was formed as the UK's first lesbian social and political organisation and began publishing the monthly journal Arena Three. By creating a dedicated space for lesbian voices, the group challenged the isolation many women felt and laid the foundations for organised lesbian activism in Britain.
