Hungary Passes Law Banning LGBTQ+ Content for Minors

The Hungarian Parliament passed a law by 157-1 (with opposition parties boycotting) prohibiting the sharing of LGBTQ-related content with under-18s in advertising, media, schools, and bookshops. Widely criticised for equating LGBTQ+ people with paedophiles and compared to Russia's 'gay propaganda' law. The European Commission launched infringement proceedings, and Dutch PM Mark Rutte told Viktor Orbán to leave the EU.
