Murder of Jody Dobrowski on Clapham Common

Jody Dobrowski, a 24-year-old assistant bar manager, was beaten to death in a homophobic attack on Clapham Common, south London. His injuries were so severe he could only be identified by fingerprints. Attackers Thomas Pickford and Scott Walker pleaded guilty at the Old Bailey and were sentenced to life with a minimum of 28 years. The case highlighted the continuing danger of homophobic violence in the UK.
