Stonewall Equality Dinner – Ian McKellen Lifetime Achievement Award

At its annual Equality Dinner, Stonewall honoured Sir Ian McKellen with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his decades-long commitment to LGBT equality. McKellen, who came out publicly in 1988 during a BBC radio discussion about Section 28, has since been one of the most prominent and influential advocates for LGBTQ+ rights in Britain.
