Health International Trans

Danish Health Minister Sophie Lohde confirmed that Copenhagen's Sexology Clinic would now only offer hormonal treatment to minors with gender dysphoria dating from early childhood, with those whose dysphoria began during puberty offered psychological support instead. The clinic's treatment approval rate had already dropped from 65% in 2018 to just 6% in 2022, reflecting a quiet but significant shift in practice.

Impact & Significance

Denmark became the fourth Nordic country to substantially restrict access to puberty blockers for minors, notably with the support of the Danish Rainbow Council LGBT organisation.
